Before I start this story, here’s a little back story.
I am a Guns N’ Roses fan. I totally get that I’m a little young, but I was literally in love with, Axl Rose at 5 years old. Then I moved on to Slash. And I’ve pretty much been in love with them my whole life. Then I met Hippo’s dad. On our first date, Sweet Child of Mine came on while we were chatting. Both of us jumped up at the same time, damn near breaking our necks, to chime in with our own air guitar solos. As we were the only people under 30 in the bar freaking out over this song, and we happened to be together, we realized it was love. Needless to say, our little Hippo lived in a Guns N’ Roses sanctuary! So, of course he is a fan. Now that GNR is on tour, Hippo’s mini fandom has been amplified. Probably fueled by his parental’s losing their marbles over the possibility of finally being able to see Slash & Axl playing live on the same stage.
Okay, so that catches us up to yesterday. While driving in the car, an advertisement for the Los Angeles Guns N’ Roses show comes on and that is where our story begins. The following story is based on a Hippo’s true story.
Scene: Mommy & Hippo driving down the street in the, Batmom mobile.
