A few years ago, I was invited by Janssen Pharmaceutical company to visit one of their campuses where we spoke with scientists and innovators working on IBD related research & development & medications. The experience was life changing for us as patients, and for the scientists. I wa able to share my experiences of living with IBD with the people spending 70+ hours a week on research & development. They heard what patients need for a better quality of life. What we are hoping to see in the future in the form of cures and treatments. What real life is like for someone living an active life at various stages of disease. Patients finally had a seat at the table.
Recently, Janssen came back and asked if they could feature me and Hippo in their new series highlighting their innovators & scientists along with patient’s stories. I was honored and pleased to be apart of this project. Take a look and share! You’ll spot a Hippo!
