Shakespeare in the Park~For Free

Posted on June 27, 2012 By Brooke Abbott

One of the great things about living in Los Angeles is the weather! It allows you to really enjoy outdoor activities anytime of the year. Summer is usually the best because it does often stay warm in the evening without being humid or uncomfortable. So perhaps you should take advantage of this amazing Los Angeles weather you are paying an arm & a leg to live in and enjoy some local outdoor evening events such as the Independent Shakespeare Company’s annual series of free Shakespeare performances in Griffith Park. The first night is this Thursday, June 28th. It will continue every Thursday thru Sunday until September 2nd. All shoes are at 7pm with special pre-show events all summer long.

This event breathes a modern life into Bill’s works and introduces him to a whole new crowd that may not believe they could like these plays. I say, pack up your blankets, a picnic basket and the kids if you’d like and enjoy a little Shakespeare under the summer night air in one of the most beautiful parks in Los Angeles. Great family night or date night…or just a night with friends!

Surviving SoCal’s Version of Fall

Posted on October 4, 2014

Apparently it’s Fall. But I am afraid Los Angeles has yet to receive the memo. You see even though we pass by the Gap store fronts with it’s beautiful Fall collection and we drink our pumpkin spice lattes and we watch the wind blow across the football fields, we are…
